How to Add an AI Assistant with Google Tag Manager
Last updated: July 2026 · No coding required
If you use Google Tag Manager, you can deploy the AI assistant without touching your website’s code at all — it’s the easiest no-code option. Here’s how.
First, get your code. Log in to your dashboard → Overview to copy your install code (your unique key is already filled in). The example below uses a placeholder
YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY.Step-by-step
- 1In Google Tag Manager, click Tags → New → Tag Configuration → Custom HTML.
- 2Paste your code into the HTML box.
- 3Under Triggering, choose All Pages, then click Save.
- 4Click Submit → Publish. No edits to your website’s own code are needed.
Your install code
<script src="https://api.askleya.io/widget/loader.js" data-key="YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY" async></script>
Prefer the full-page AI window?
Ask Leya also offers a full, ChatGPT-style assistant you can embed directly in a page. The steps on Google Tag Manager are identical — just paste the “window code” from your dashboard wherever you want it to appear.
