Terms & Conditions

These terms are a starting template that reflects how Ask Leya works. They are not legal advice — please have a qualified lawyer review and adapt them for your jurisdiction before you rely on them.

By creating an account or using Ask Leya (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Ask Leya provides an embeddable AI chat widget and dashboard that lets you configure an assistant, add a knowledge base, capture leads, and manage conversations.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Plans, billing & cancellation

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Each plan includes monthly usage limits (messages and knowledge entries). Exceeding limits may pause service until the next cycle or an upgrade.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable for partial periods.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe others’ rights;
  • send spam, harass, or deceive people;
  • upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service;
  • collect personal data from visitors without proper notice and consent.

You are responsible for the content in your knowledge base and for how your assistant is used on your sites.

5. Your content & data

You retain ownership of the content and data you provide. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to operate and provide the Service (including sending relevant content to our AI provider to generate responses).

6. AI output disclaimer

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and configuring your assistant, and for any reliance on its output.

7. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Intellectual property

We own the Ask Leya platform, software, and branding. You own your data and content.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask Leya is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction]. Update this before launch.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
